Overview

Ride vintage diesel trains, tour the museum collection, explore exhibits, and see progress on the restoration of Rochester Subway Car 60!

Join us for Subway Day, a special event commemorating the 70th anniversary of the end of Rochester Subway service and the 110th birthday of Rochester Subway Car 60. This event will feature special exhibits on the history of the Rochester Subway—from its origins in the bed of the old Erie Canal through to its final run on June 30th, 1956, as well as a display of our progress restoring Car 60, the last surviving car from the Rochester Subway!

During your visit you will also ride on our vintage diesel trains, explore the largest collection of preserved railroad equipment in New York State, check out our exhibits, and view our progress as we work to bring railroad history back to life! You will also find a Gift Shop stocked with refreshments, as well as souvenirs for train buffs of all ages!

Trains depart every 30 minutes from 10:00am until 2:00pm. All aboard!

Ages 4 and under ride FREE, no ticket required!
