Learn the Mishima pottery technique!

The Mishima technique, also known as inlaid pottery, is a decorative method used in ceramics to produce detailed and precise designs. It involves carving patterns into the surface of leather-hard clay and then filling these carved lines with a contrasting slip, underglaze, or colored clay.

Week 1- students will learn how to hand-build a pottery vessel.
Week 2- students will learn how to trim and practice a surface design technique called Mishima, making their own coloring book page on their piece of pottery.
