Sea into Pleasant Bay: A Guided Hands-On Exploration of Jacknife Beach

Want to dive into learning about the land and sea creatures in our marine environment? Join us on July 7th to get an in depth look at what is living on Chatham's most biodiverse water body, Pleasant Bay.
Participants will wade into the waters of Jacknife Beach using dip nets to catch and observe the fascinating creatures that call Pleasant Bay home. From crabs and other crustaceans to fish, shorebirds, and more, you'll gain an up-close look at the interconnected world of our coastal environment.
This interactive program is perfect for curious nature lovers ages 8 and up. (An adult companion is required for all children.) All equipment, including dip nets, will be provided.
Bring sunscreen and water, water shoes and binoculars are also recommended but not required, must be able to walk on the beach unassisted.
