Seconds Matter: Learn to Save a Life
Free lifesaving skills class: CPR & AED, bleeding control and Narcan training. Taught by San Rafael Fire Department EMTs.
When a medical emergency strikes, the first few minutes matter most and you don't need to be a medical professional to help. Join us for a free, hands-on community lifesaving class taught by certified EMTs from the San Rafael Fire Department.
In just 90 minutes, you'll learn three critical skills:
Hands-Only CPR & AED Training — Learn how to perform effective chest compressions to keep blood flowing until paramedics arrive, with no mouth-to-mouth required. Participants will also learn how to recognize cardiac arrest, safely use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and work confidently until emergency responders arrive.
Stop the Bleed — Discover how to control life-threatening bleeding using direct pressure and tourniquets, techniques that can save a life in minutes.
Narcan (Naloxone) Training — Learn how to recognize an opioid overdose and administer Narcan, a safe and easy-to-use medication that can reverse an overdose on the spot.
This class is open to everyone, no experience or medical background needed. Whether you're a parent, teacher, neighbor, or coworker, these skills could help you save someone you love.
