Welcome to another Sewing and Mending Skillshare!
This event is hosted by Danni Lavender, our good friend and local textile artist extraordinaire!
Learn stitching, mending, upcycling, and embroidery basics, work on a personal project, and build community.
For this event, bringing your own mending project is a must, standard fabric items, pants, jackets, shirts, etc. If you have patches or fabric you want to use, feel free to bring it with you!
Materials provided by host:
-scrap fabric
-hand sewing tools (needles, thread, etc)
-sewing machine with all tools (thread/ bobbins, etc.)
-pattern sheets for shashiko style mending
-pattern sheets for embroidery
-embroidery thread and needles
-Embroidery hoops
-ironing board + iron
-cutting tools
Tickets are sliding-scale and donation based to cover the cost of materials, but no one is turned away for lack of funds! Tickets are limited to 12 due to space in our shop, but this is a regular monthly event to allow everyone who is interested the opportunity to participate. We hope to see you there!
