Get the Girls Out!

SheJumps Get the Girls Out! is a national campaign to unite women as they support, challenge, mentor, and inspire each other in the outdoor sports world. SheJumps Get The Girls Out! events are held near International Women’s Day (annually on March 8).

Join SheJumps as we celebrate Get the Girls Out! – a nationwide campaign uniting women and girls to embrace the great outdoors while fostering a sense of adventure and camaraderie. Spurred by International Women's Day, this program is a call to action for participants of all ages to connect with nature, break down barriers, and celebrate their achievements and strengths throughout the month of March. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer, the Get the Girls Out! gatherings aim to foster a community where participants can thrive outdoors, inspire one another and younger generations, forge new connections, and rekindle friendships. Grab your friends, and get ready to make unforgettable memories!All minors (under age 18) must be supervised by a parent or guardian for the full event.SheJumps is an inclusive organization. We welcome all women and girls—transgender and cisgender, as well as non-binary people. <h3>Join us in Charlemont, MA at Berkshire East for an evening of uphill skiing, riding, and fun on March 7th. Registration is required.</h3>This is our yearly fundraising event and we are excited to spend the evening on the mountain!Timeline:5:30pm- Meet at the base of the Thunderbolt Mountain Coaster5:45pm- Begin our accent to the top of Berkshire East and ski back down.End the night with a raffle and if you would like to join for apre at the Crazy Horse, all are welcome. Cost: $10.00 per person. This small fee helps SheJumps continue our work of getting more women and girls outside while supporting the long-term sustainability of the organization. As a thank-you, all registered participants will receive a free raffle ticket—with chances to win some great prizes from our community partners.If you need an uphill pass there is a limited amount available when you register. Once those are sold out you can still participate if space is available by signing up but will need to purchase your own pass. Each signup will include a raffle ticket. Who can attend? This is an intermediate event for participants who are comfortable with skiing blue terrain. This event is appropriate for participants that already have the necessary equipment to ascend and descend the trails safely. Familiarity with your equipment prior to the event is required as no instruction will be provided. We will be touring up Berkshire East climbing 950ft and descending on a green or blue trail depending on open terrain. After we will have a small raffle and all are welcome to join to hang out at the Crazy Horse! Finding SheJumps at the base area: Participants should plan to arrive at least 30 mins prior to the event start time to allow time for set up. We will meet at the base of the Thunder Mountain Coaster to the left of the main lodge at 5:30. We will begin our ascent promptly at 5:45pm. What to bring: You should bring your full touring set up with you(skis/splitboard, boots, skins, poles, helmet, goggles, etc.). A headlamp, it will get dark!Each participant should come prepared for the outdoors in a winter environment.On top of your ski/ride gear, we recommend bringing:Pack snacks (Additional food and beverage is available for purchase at the lodge)Clothing layers for changing weather/conditions throughout the morning.Personal first aid supplies/any life saving medications Questions?
