SIU Alumni Night @ the Sunset Concert

Join us for a relaxing summer evening in Southern Illinois, with great music, familiar faces, and Saluki pride.
The SIU Alumni Association is hosting Alumni Night @ the Sunset Concert on Thursday, June 18, 2026, beginning at 7 p.m. at Turley Park in Carbondale.
We'll be serving complimentary drinks and snacks under our tent. Guests are also welcome to help us support local scholarships for regional high school students to attend Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
The featured performance will be by Shawn Holt and the Teardrops, a band inspired by the legacy of Holt's father, blues legend Magic Slim. Holt delivers a soulful, high-energy sound backed by the hard-driving rhythm of the Teardrops. They've been electrifying blues audiences for more than 35 years.
Bring a lawn chair or blanket, reconnect with fellow alumni and friends, and enjoy a night of live music. We can't wait to see you there!
