This is an IN-PERSON course only.Speaker Bio: Erin Elliott, DDSDr. Erin Elliott grew up in Southern California but went away to a small NAIA school in Western New York, where she played collegiate soccer and graduated summa cum laude from Houghton College. After graduating from Creighton Dental School in the top 5 in 2003, she settled in North Idaho to begin her general dentistry career. She has a special interest in DentalSleep Medicine and technology. She has lectured extensively on this topic and loves to help general dentists extend this life-saving service to their patients. She is an active member of her local American Dental Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. She teaches a 2-day Sleep Apnea Implementation Course with 3D-Dentists and Dr. Tarun Agarwal.Course Information:SLEEP APNEA: Beyond the BasicsThis 3-hour lecture is focused on the next step in your sleep apnea therapy journey. Many clinicians understand the basics of sleep apnea, the need for screening, and the functionality of oral appliances, but few are ﬂuent in the ﬁnancials and the appointment-by-appointment protocols.We’ll take a deep dive into crucial subjects such as bite-taking techniques and a medical insurance overview.Course Objectives:Attendees will• Understand the fundamentals of a sleep study review• Deﬁne various treatment options• Grasp various bite techniques• Be familiar with appointment-by-appointment treatment workﬂow• Know what documentation is required• Get overviews of medical insurance &amp; ﬁnancial considerationsBreakfast provided.Free for all Coastal Cascades Dentist Society Members, $125 for nonmember dentists, and $50 for staff and business associate members.LCDS is an ADA CERP recognized provider approved by the Oregon Dental Association. ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, no does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry.LCDS is designated as an Approved PACE Program Provider by the Academy of General Dentistry. The formal continuing education programs of this provider are accepted by AGD for Fellowship, Mastership and membership maintenance credit. Approval does not imply acceptance by a State or provincial board of dentistry or AGD Endorsement. The current term of AGD approval extends from 1/16/2023 to 1/15/2027.
