Solstice Sunset Hike & Happy Hour

Solstice Sunset Hike & Happy Hour

Ward Pound Ridge ReservationPound Ridge, NY
Overview

Hike to watch the solstice sun set at the lookout point and enjoy an optional happy hour afterwards with other nature lovers.

The summer solstice is a time for celebration and acknowleding the beauty of life. After gathering at Shelter #5 we will hike up to the lookout point together to watch the sun set over the hudson valley. Once it starts to get dark we will hike back to the shelter for an optional, social celebration. We encourage bringing food or beverages to share, although it is not required. Some refreshments will be provided.

The hike portion of this program is recommended for people aged 8 and up due to uneven terrain, incline, and length of the hike. The optional social portion of this program is for adults. We recommend you bring a flashlight or headlamp as the return trip from the hike will get darker after sunset. We recommend you bring water as well. This program will continue in light rain, however, will cancel with heavy rain or other inclement weather.

This program is preceded by our International Yoga Day celebration. You can register here for a full evening of mindfulness: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/international-yoga-day-tickets-1991502533688?aff=oddtdtcreator
