Walking Tours

Come take a walk with us! Our neighborhood has plenty of history beyond our museum walls. Tours leave rain or shine from Buckman Tavern and cover about a mile of distance.

Visit over three centuries of Lexington's past on a walking tour of the historic Old Burying Ground. Beautiful gravestone artwork - from skulls and crossbones to willow trees and urns - reveal how our ancestors grappled with the concept of death. Discover how mortuary art has changed over time, and meet some of Lexington's most famous inhabitants along the way!Leaves from Buckman Tavern; total walking distance about one mile.Limited to 20 people. Ticket sales end at 6 PM the evening before the tour.$10 members, $15 nonmembers EventBrite ticketholders are automatically registered for the Lexington History Museums weekly newsletter.
