Summer Solstice Nature Meditation

Summer Solstice Nature Meditation

Leon Levy PreserveSouth Salem, NY
Overview

Unlock the restorative and therapeutic benefits of a mindful connection with nature.

Welcome the arrival of summer and celebrate the longest day of the year with a guided walk and seated meditation in the peaceful forest at Leon Levy Preserve. The solstice is a time to reflect on what we have achieved and what helps us to feel awake and alive. Dedicating focus to each of the five senses, especially while outdoors, will help participants unify and balance their energy with the natural world.

This program is led by Catherine Downs, a Reiki Master Teacher and a certified Forest Therapy Guide from ANFT. This program is limited to 20 attendees. We recommend sturdy shoes, appropriate layers, and water. Attendees should also bring something to sit on — a blanket, cushion, beach chair, camp chair (or any other props) for additional comfort during the seated meditation. Steady rain or other inclement weather will cancel.

Leon Levy Preserve is located off Route 123 in South Salem (¼ mile south or Route 35). To learn more about Leon Levy Preserve, visit https://lewisborolandtrust.org/leon-levy-preserve
