Sunday Youth Repair Event
Come join us at the Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange for a youth day, volunteering and learning to repair bikes!
About this event
This event is open to youth interested in learning and developing bicycle repair skills. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the event, for each event their child attends, until the event leader gives his or her approval they they can attend without parental supervision.
Minors and a parent must sign our liability waiver. There is a limit of 16 total individuals.
Event Details:
- Hands-On Learning: Gain practical experience with tools and techniques.
- Please be punctual and arrive a few minutes before the start of the event to complete waivers, and sign in on our vounteer sign in form. Arriving late is disruptive to orientation and instructions.
- When you arrive instructional material #1 and #2 will provide step by step guidance.
- Experienced mentor mechanics will be available to help work on repairs and maintenance issues
- Bikes repaired by our volunteers are donated through our partner organizations. Click here to find out more information about our partners.
