Explore the pristine creeks of BHI on this guided tour at sunset!
Explore the unspoiled creeks of BHI on a guided trip at high, mid or low tide. Each trip offers a unique perspective of BHI and great views of wildlife; this is a must-do before you leave the island! While on the water, search for different marsh plants and animals and learn about their importance to this ecosystem. Double kayaks are used and participants should be 16+ to participate. Each child under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Trips are tide and weather dependent (and will not run in storms or high wind >15 mph).
This program does NOT meet at Bald Head Island Conservancy. Please meet at the Village Creek Access on Federal Road, near Old Baldy. All gear including PFDs, paddles, and kayaks will be provided. Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen, bug spray, hat, and clothes that can get muddy and slightly damp.
Kayak trips are rated as moderate to moderately difficult due to sun, tides and wind on the marsh. Conditions may vary depending on the day.
