We bring people together through movement, mindfulness, and shared experiences that support both mental and physical well-being.Our Mental Health Hikes are part of our "We Black Outside" Movement — creating space to slow down, reconnect with nature, and move in community. These hikes are about presence, peace, and showing up for ourselves and each other. <h2>Hike Details</h2>TBN Hike #52 (Hard)📅 Saturday, March 14🕗 Meet-up Time: 8:45 AM📍 Meet-up Location: Alhambra Creek Staging Area, Parking lot, Brookwood Dr, Martinez, CA 94553🥾 Trail: 📏 Distance: 5.5 miles⏱️ Estimated Time: 3–4 hours <h2>What to Expect</h2>This is a HARD-level hike with steady climbs, uneven terrain, and a consistent pace. The route moves through towering redwood forests, shaded trails, and peaceful natural areas, with occasional views of the surrounding foothills. You may also spot birds and local wildlife along the way.We hike together, take intentional pauses when needed, and finish as a group. Come ready to move your body, clear your mind, and enjoy the calm that comes from being outside. <h2>Water + Snacks</h2>We will have water and snacks available, but participants should still bring their own water and personal fuel, especially for a physically demanding hike. Please plan to be self-sufficient. <h2>Please Bring</h2><ul><li>Hiking shoes or boots with good traction</li><li>Your own water (even though we’ll have some)</li><li>Snacks or light fuel</li><li>Layers for changing weather</li><li>A small backpack with personal essentials (medications, electrolytes, sunscreen, etc.)</li></ul> <h2>Good to Know</h2><ul><li>Meet-up begins at 8:45 AM. We will start hiking shortly after check-in. Late arrivals may miss the group.</li><li>Not kid-friendly. Adults only.</li><li>Dog-friendly with conditions: Dogs are welcome if leashed at all times, well-controlled, and able to handle a long, physically demanding hike.
