ThePennypack Environmental Centerresides on the land of theLenape, and was originally dedicated as a bird sanctuary in 1958. Today, the Center has an outdoor amphitheater, exhibits, a reference library, and campfire and picnic areas. Homeschool programs and other programs for school-age children.

Teen Adventure Camp expands teens adventures beyond Pennypack and climbing to mountain tops, kayaking along lakes, geocaching through new forests, hitting their target, soring through the tree tops, meeting new animal and human friends, and much, much more.All adventures will begin and end at Pennypack. Full-time staff will drive the team in City issued vans. Ziplining at TreeTrails in Trevose (8/8) and additional adventures will be added when confirmed.Ages 13-17 Prices vary per adventure.We also have a Teen Advisory Council that is during the school year for teens that are interested in environmental leadership. Those teens that demonstrate involvement, interest, and leadership often are hired for summer work through the C2L2 Program.
