EARTH stands forEnvironmental Awareness of Resources and Threatened Habitats. EARTH is a 501 (C) (3) nonprofit organization based in Southwick's Zoo in Mendon, MA. EARTH's mission is to inspire, engage, and connect with people to protect and conserve our planet’s biodiversity and future. Our vision is to realize a world where humans live in sustainable balance with all species, their ecosystems, and the environment while supporting and protecting biodiversity.

This program is for high school students interested in learning about careers in biology, zoology, or similar fields.

<h3>Grades 9-11</h3><h3>July 27-31: 9:00am-4:00pm</h3>This five day program is ideal for high school students interested in learning about careers in biology, zoology, or similar fields. This program will also have a focus on animal conservation as well the impact of climate change on wildlife. Topics covered will include native species, animal behavior and care. This program week also imcludes a whale watch!

Early Bird Discount: Register by February 28, 2026 for 5% off. EARTH Members can combine the early bird discount with their member discount for a total of 15% off.

<h3>Frequently Asked Questions:</h3> My child is an EARTH Member. How do I apply the member discount?EARTH members receive a 10% discount on Summer Wild Adventure Programs. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively. Where and when do I drop my child off?On the first day of the program, please arrive by 8:45am. The drop off/pick up location may change for the 2026 programs, so updated drop off/pick up info will be included in the reminder email that is sent before each program week.This program will feature a whale watch (weather permitting). On the day of the whale watch, drop off will be between 6:30am and 6:45am. Where do I pick up my child?Children will be picked up at 4:00pm at the same location as drop off. What should my child wear?Make sure your child is dressed for the weather. We spend most of the day outdoors and do a large amount of walking, so we recommend that children wear comfortable shoes and do not wear sandals or open toed shoes. What should my child bring?<ul><li>Sneakers or boots only (no sandals, flip flops, or open-toed shoes). Shoes must be comfortable enough for children to walk all over the zoo.</li><li>Backpack</li><li>A pencil bag with colored pencils, markers, crayons, small paint brush and regular pencils.</li><li>Additional clothing depending on the day’s weather forecast (i.e. extra socks, raincoat, sweatshirt, hat, etc.)</li><li>Water bottle - We have water available to refill bottles, but, to minimize contact, we recommend packing two water bottles each day.</li><li>Sunscreen</li><li>Insect repellent</li><li>Lunch and snacks</li><li>Hand sanitizer - We have installed a hand washing station, staff will have hand sanitizer, and hand sanitizer is available in various locations in the zoo, but we recommend that children bring their own to help minimize contact.</li></ul>

About the Wild Adventure ProgramIn partnership with Southwick's Zoo, EARTH Limited offers educational programs during the summer for kids in grades K-11. Children in the programs learn through a variety of exciting STEAM based activities led by licensed educators.
