Tender Record: A Poetry Reading
Join us for an evening of poetry held in the company of ‘Artist Books of Loss and Healing,’ as part of Upstate Art Weekend 2026. Like an artist's book, a poem can be a tender record of loving, grieving, recovering, and honoring. Featured poets will share work that carries us through this territory amidst the generous art-filled space of The Church in Staatsburg.
This evening of connection and inspiration is free and open to all. Facilitated by the Poetry Collective of Rhinebeck.

The 'Artist Books of Loss and Healing’ exhibition will be offered throughout Summer 2026 at The Church in Staatsburg, a Hudson Valley art space. Curated by artists Alison Cornyn and Yolanda Cuomo, the exhibition brings together artist books centered on love, loss, healing, and the many ways these experiences ask us to process.
Included are photo books, embroidered books, pop-up books, editioned books, unique objects, and works available as reading copies, along with a series of events in addition to this poetry reading.
