Join guest teacher Domenica Marchetti, most recently the author of “Italian Cookies: Authentic Recipes and Sweet Stories from Every Region,” for a grand tour of Italy through the lens of its cookies. With Domenica as your geographical, culinary and cultural guide, you’ll learn to make three distinctive types of Italian cookies—perfect for dipping in your morning cappuccino, serving with your afternoon tea or enjoying alongside an evening glass of wine. If you didn’t already know that Italian cuisine has distinct, proud regional cuisines that reflect the countries colorful history and diverse landscapes, you will appreciate that fact by the end of this cookie-forward class. Domenica is a professional recipe developer and cooking class instructor and she leads occasional small-group culinary tours in Italy. She splits her time between Abruzzo, Italy, where her family is from, and Virginia.
