The Inner Loop's August Reading

Whether you're a bookworm, an inspiring writer, or just enjoy listening to stories, The Inner Loop readings have something for everyone! Join us at Shaw's Tavern on August 18th at 7pm for The Inner Loop's August Reading featuring Caroline Bock alongside nine other local readers in poetry, nonfiction, and fiction! Caroline Bock is the author of The Other Beautiful People, a workplace love story, inspired by her two-decade career in cable television (on sale June 2nd from Regal House Publishing). This novel is “a remarkable journey,” notes the Kirkus Reviews. She is also the author of the young adult novels LIE and Before My Eyes (St. Martin’s Press), as well as the short story collection Carry Her Home (winner of the WWPH Fiction Prize). Her short, short work has recently appeared in The Hopkins Review and The Baltimore Review, and will appear in the Best of Microfiction 2026 edited by Diane Seuss. She is the co-president and prose editor at the Washington Writers’ Publishing House based in Washington, DC.
