The Solo Navigator: Planning for Aging Without a Traditional Support System
Overview
Learn helpful tools for solo aging, including legal documents, and community resource identification.
We hope you can join us on Tuesday, June 16th, from 11am-12pm CST for an informative online course on understanding resources that will help with solo aging, for people who might not have a traditional support system.
During this workshop, participants will learn to:
- Understand the three essential legal documents (Power of Attorney, Healthcare Proxy, Will) and why they are critical for solo agers.
- Learn practical strategies for identifying and vetting potential non-family fiduciaries or support people.
- Explore community resources and models (e.g., aging-in-place initiatives, formalized friend networks) that can provide long-term, non-familial support.
Whether you're planning for yourself or a loved one, it is never too early to make your end-of-life plan. Registration is required for this event.
