Tipi Raising and Teachings

Join us for a community gathering centered on the raising and care of the tipis at the Plains Conservation Center. As we take them down and set them back up, participants will learn about Plains tribes, the many ways tipis were used, and the knowledge and care involved in maintaining them. Through shared work and conversation, this program offers a chance to connect with the history, skill, and living traditions of the Great Plains.

This program is for everyone, all ages are welcome, participants will be helping with the taking down and setting up of the four tipis.
