Tired of Pushing Back: An Art Workshop of Accepting the Unchangeable

Tired of Pushing Back: An Art Workshop of Accepting the Unchangeable

Online event
Overview

Some things don't resolve. Art as a way into accepting yourself and what cannot change.

Some things don't resolve.

Grief can keep going. Maybe you have a body that works differently than you planned. Pehaps there's an aspect of who you are that you're still learning to be comfortable with.

With acceptance we're opening a doorway to neutrality, a space for the discomfort and frustrations of our situations without a continual, exhausting fight against yourself and something unchangeable.

Over two hours we'll make things together with two guided art prompts designed to work at the level of experience but without diving deep into your story. You don't need an art background and you don't need specific materials. Just having paper and something to draw with is enough.

You'll leave with a little more understanding of what you're facing without forcing false resolution or peace.

What to expect:

  • Two guided art-making prompts
  • Brief framing on what acceptance actually is (and isn't)
  • A small, non-clinical space with no pressure to perform insight
  • Replay available if you can't attend live
