Join us for fun, interactive and educational programming discussing our red wolves, various raptor species, herps and more! We work to make every experience engaging for a variety of interest levels and ages.

Laura Marsh is a field biologist and adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. This summer, Laura worked with the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center to attach satellite tags to yellow-billed cuckoos. This is quite a novel study: the transmitters report real-time data on the locations of the birds. The team tagged birds in the Eastern US in three locations: Texas, Chattanooga, and Illinois. The data will help researchers determine migratory connectivity and habitat use of cuckoos and other neotropical migrants.
