Trailblazers: Glenview Woods Walk

We unite people to protect, promote, and care for the forest preserves in Cook County. Founded in 1998 by a small group of concerned citizens, Friends is now a force of thousands of committed volunteers and members. Through political advocacy, ecological restoration, and community engagement, we ensure the forest preserves will always be a source of recreation and relaxation.

Take in the fresh air and join the group to explore this lovely site. We'll cross the river and head into Harms Woods, included in the Illinois Natural Areas Inventory, and see if we can spot a spring ephemeral or two popping out of the ground. An avid hiker, she has formed and led walking groups for 15+ years. What to Wear and Bring: Water for hydration, good sun protection, a hat, and sturdy walking shoes.
