Trees Atlanta Acorn Lantern Puppet Workshop for the Beltline Lantern Parade

This workshop is to march with Trees Atlanta in the Beltline Lantern Parade! Don't miss the pre-parade mixer at the Tree House!

The Acorn Lantern Theme celebrates the over 30 native Georgia Oaks planted along Atlanta’s Beltline Arboretum, benefiting Atlanta’s wildlife and city. These lanterns highlight the Atlanta Beltline Arboretum and are adorable acorn puppets with oak leaf hands! Let's all march together behind the Atlanta Freedom Marching Band! All materials included. Kids must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Best for 8+ years with an adult.

Lantern Parade Kickoff & Mixer at TreesAtlanta Kendeda TreeHouse 🌿✨

Before the 2026 Atlanta BeltLine Lantern Parade lights up the BeltLine Arboretum , come gather with fellow forest stewards at the Trees Atlanta Kendeda TreeHouse for a relaxed pre-parade meetup in the canopy.

Connect with other City Forest Certified participants—and those earning Acorns toward certification—while celebrating the shared work of protecting and improving Atlanta’s urban forest. This is a chance to meet fellow tree advocates,and build community with people who care about the “City in the Forest.”

Enjoy light refreshments and beverages, with food trucks just off campus adding to the festive atmosphere. Bring your completed acorn lantern from the workshop—or stop by our last-minute lantern station to create one before the parade.

At 7:45 PM, we’ll gather and head out together with Trees Atlanta to the parade start, walking as a group into one of Atlanta’s most joyful nights of light, art, and community.

Whether you’re fully certified, just beginning your Acorn journey, or simply coming to cheer on the forest, you’re invited to be part of the glow.
