Beyond the Beach

The "Beyond the Beach" Series highlights events where we explore further inland, trading in picturesque beaches for oak-filled hammocks or sprawling pine flatwoods. Join us on one of these hikes to discover the wilder side of Martin County.

Looking for an adventure off the beaten path or away from the beach? Join us as we venture into the beatiful and diverse Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Area on this winter morning. This trail brings us into an old growth tropical forest that is home to native wildlife and ages of stories from geology to human history. Don't miss it! DETAILSFREE program, reservations requiredBegins at 9:00am and will last until approximately 11:00amThe length of this nature walk is about 2.75 miles across various natural surfacesPlease wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear.
