Join our Park Rangers for a unique experience of Aquia Creek as the cloak of twilight descends. You can travel in a solo kayak or grab a partner and paddle in a tandem.This program is limited to 10 participants, so registration is required. Children 6-12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian in the boat, and children 13-17 may paddle solo but must be under the supervision of a parent/guardian. All paddlers are required to wear a properly fitted personal floatation device (PFD). Be sure to bring water and dress to get wet. The timing of this program is designed for it to end at the launch as the sun is setting.Pre-registration and payment is required. Spots are limited and are first come, first serve. Payment is $20/person including equipment rental. Standard parking fee still applies. Call the Visitor Center at (540)288-1400 to pay over the phone. Registration over email will not be accepted.Arrive at the Visitor Center at least 20 minutes prior to the start time to check-in before heading over to the Aquia Creek paddle launch for setup.In case of inclement weather, call the Visitor Center about cancellation and payment details.
