Join Plant Chicago for our quarterly volunteer orientation!
Plant Chicago would be nothing without our volunteer community!
The orientation will introduce you to Plant Chicago's mission, vision, programs, staff, and key volunteer leaders. We will also introduce you to our space and our upcoming volunteer opportunities. This summer in particular, as we wrap up our building renovations, we'll need help cleaning up and organizing our space, constructing a new chicken aviary, building out our new indoor farm, and lots of painting! There will also be opportunities to assist with some special events as well as our monthly farmers markets at our historic firehouse.
If you'd like to start your volunteering on the day of the orientation, please wear clothing you're alright with getting dirty and closed toed shoes. Otherwise, you're welcome to browse the farmers market and sign up for a future opportunity.
If you are younger than 18 years of age, we do require a parent or guardian signature on our waiver form. Volunteers younger than the age of 14 should be accompanied by an adult for their volunteer shift. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, we verify and offer volunteer service hours for students.
Feel free to reach out with any questions via email at info@plantchicago.org or call our office at (773) 847-5523. Hope to see you soon!
