Warren Wayfinders Series 2026 - Walk 2

This event is the second in a series of guided walks meant to introduce elementary-aged kids and their families to local options for getting outside. By taking walks in and around Warren County, we aim to increase folks' comfort in and appreciation of nature, right in our own backyard.

For this event, we will meet at the Buck Spring Park playground starting at 9:30am. Folks can grab snacks, sunscreen, and bugspray; and then introductions and park overview will begin at 10am. After we're all introduced, we'll walk the nature trail, follow the gravel drive down to the lake and then head back up to the playground by way of one of the park's mountain bike trails. We'll discuss the differences between walking a paved track, like we did in Walk 1, and a woodland trail and keep an eye out for fun plants and animals!
