WBU Athens Birding 101 with Ranger Auggie Smith

WBU Athens: Join Ranger Auggie Smith from Hard Labor Creek State Park to learn Birding 101 along with common backyard birds of Georgia. This presentation will cover birding laws, etiquette, tools, and bird identification. By the end of this presentation you'll know how to identify birds both by their physical traits and their calls, along with how to best attract your favorite backyard birds to your garden. Auggie Smith is the Naturalist at HLC, as well as a senior at the Warnell School of Forestry in UGA, and is knowledgeable on nature topics ranging from birding and herpetology to plant/fungi identification and beyond. Bring your nature questions, birding or otherwise, to ask the ranger after the presentation.
