West Burkittsville Walking Tour

Discover the rich history and well preserved architecture of Burkittsville with a guided tour provided by South Mountain Heritage Society. Among the sites and stories featured on our West Burkittsville Walking Tour are the former commercial center of the village, the Burkittsville Female Seminary, the Arnold Farm, the Weiner Tannery, and a sweeping view of the Middletown Valley from Guyton Memorial Park.
Admission is by donation (Suggested $10 per person). Please note that all tours will cover some elevation changes and varying paved and unpaved walking surfaces.
All tours begin at South Mountain Heritage Society, located at 3 East Main Street, Burkittsville, MD. Parking is available in the lot immediately next to the museum.
