Westport Writers Group

Welcome to the Westport Writers Group! which offers space for people across the SouthCoast (MA and RI) to come together and write. We provide prompts, or you can choose to work on something of your own. We spend the first half of the time writing and the second half open sharing, by choice.

Our mission is to bring together a diverse and wide-ranging group of writers from across the SouthCoast, MA geographic area. We are published and unpublished writers who celebrate how everyone is a writer. We gather to share our stories, our expertise, and our writing while simultaneously building a more established literary presence in the area through workshops, publishing opportunities, and community creative programming. From poetry to flash fiction to memoir, we range in age, work at different skill levels, and love being able to say“we are writers!”

This group is currently hosted by Midori Creativity, growing a nurturing ecosystem for creatives through workshops, coaching, and community projects. Midori Evans, the founder, is a certified creativity coach, writer, photographer, and musician.
