We are working hard to bring Chicago its first Insect and Taxidermy Museum! Our focus is connecting to the beauty of nature in a non-traditional sense. During these events we will engage all of our senses to foster both  excitement and growth. At The Insect Asylum we encourage you to explore, as we do! Every time you walk through our doors we are hoping you  engage with the exhibits and develop a true sense of belonging with nature. Our mission is to allow people to get excited, to learn and to grow. We understand that inspiration takes flight in many forms. Come and get inspired, create, and connect with a beautiful community! Hosted at The Insect AsylumJoin us for a hands-on exploration of the beauty and transformation of monarch butterflies in this two-part creative science workshop at the Insect Asylum!Led by <a href="https://www.instagram.com/rip.repurposed/" title="https://www.instagram.com/rip.repurposed/" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Domingo of RIP Repurposed</a>, a master of ethical preservation and naturalistic art, you'll be guided through both portions of the experience with expertise, care, and a passion for the hidden wonders of the insect world.<h4>🌱 Part 1: Chrysalis Intention Vial Making (1-2 pm)</h4>Create a unique miniature intention vial using home raised monarch chrysalis molts, milkweed, final instar caterpillar molts, and other organic elements connected to the monarch’s lifecycle. This nature-infused keepsake is perfect for those drawn to metamorphosis, symbolism, and mindful crafting which is guided by Domingo and thier Memento Monarca Zine.<h4>🦋 Part 2: Monarch Butterfly Pinning (2:30-3:30 pm)</h4>Learn the fundamentals of butterfly pinning and preservation as you work hands-on with your own sustainably sourced monarch specimen. You'll take home a beautifully pinned butterfly.🎟️ Pricing Options:<ul><li>$45 per individual chrysalis crafting workshop</li><li>$85 per individual monarch butterfly pinning workshop</li><li>OR $100 for the full experience (both classes bundled back-to-back)</li><li>Optional shadow box add-on available at checkout ($18 each)</li></ul>Whether you're an entomology enthusiast, a nature-loving artist, or simply curious, Wings &amp; Things invites you into the intricate and awe-inspiring world of the monarch.
