Women’s Sunrise Summit Hike – Jones Peak via Mount Wilson Trail

Join We Explore Earth for a beautiful and challenging women’s community sunrise hike to Jones Peak via the historic Mount Wilson Trail in the San Gabriel Mountains.

This experience is designed to bring women together through movement, nature, community, and encouragement while taking on one of the area’s most rewarding climbs. Expect steep elevation gain, incredible mountain views, fresh morning air, and meaningful connection with fellow outdoor lovers.

This hike will be led by We Explore Earth team members Aria, Michelle, and Rosa.

MEETUP INFORMATION

📍 Meet Location: Mount Wilson Trail Park189 E Mira Monte AveSierra Madre, CA 91024

We will meet right next to Lizzie’s Trail Inn.

⏰ Meetup Time: 5:30 a.m.🥾 Hike Starts: 6:00 a.m. SHARP

Please arrive on time and ready to hike. Parking can be difficult in the area, so we highly encourage everyone to arrive as close to 5:30 a.m. as possible to secure parking and get settled before departure.

WHAT TO BRING

• Broken-in hiking shoes or trail runners
• Hiking poles/sticks recommended
• Minimum 3 liters of water
• Snacks / trail food
• Headlamp or flashlight
• Hat
• Sunglasses
• Sunscreen
• Layers of clothing
• Active/outdoor wear
• Good vibes & good energy

IMPORTANT NOTES

• This is a strenuous hike with steep sections and exposure to sun. Please know your limits and come prepared.
• Please park legally and carefully read all posted parking signs.
• Be mindful of wheel direction requirements when parking on hills (uphill/downhill curb positioning).
• Adventure Pass recommended for Angeles National Forest recreation areas when applicable.
• Leave No Trace principles encouraged at all times.
