Wood and Epoxy Charcuterie Board

In this class, students will create their very own wooden and epoxy “Mini River” Table—a beautiful piece that works perfectly as a serving board, charcuterie board, or a unique display of custom art. This project is designed to be fun, approachable, and full of creative freedom.

You’ll start by heading to the bandsaw to cut your own unique “river” shape using the wood provided for the class. This is where your design begins to take form and every board starts to look different from the next.

Then the real excitement begins as you mix your deep‑pour epoxy and choose from a wide selection of vibrant pigments. Students will pour their epoxy into molds and swirl in their own custom designs, making every board completely one‑of‑a‑kind.

Exactly one week later, you’ll return to demold, flatten, and finish your board. During this session, you’ll use the table saw and miter saw to clean up edges and square your piece, followed by sanders to polish the surface to a smooth, finished sheen. This is where your project really comes to life.
