Wood & Epoxy Charcuterie Board (2-part class)

In this class students will make their very own wooden and epoxy "Mini River" board that can be used as a serving board, charcuterie board, or as a wonderful display piece of custom art. Students will cut their own unique "river" shape using the wood provided for the class. Students will then learn how to properly seal the mold that will be provided for the class followed by clamping their wooden pieces securely to the mold. Then the real fun stuff begins, students will mix up their own deep pour epoxy and choose from the many colors of pigment provided in the class. Students will pour epoxy into the molds and swirl their own unique designs in the epoxy. After the epoxy has cured and hardened, the students will return for the second part of the class to plane, sand and edge the boards. Then apply a food safe finish to preserve their work.
