Zawn Launch Event

Zawn Launch Event

Bookbag Independent BookshopExeter, England
Overview

Celebrating the first issue of Zawn with contributor readings, literary conversation, and community.

Join us for the launch of the first issue of Zawn, an evening celebrating new writing, and the South West community of writers and publishers that have supported its creation.

Zawn is a new literary magazine featuring probing fiction, alongside essays, reviews, and interviews, binding the vibrant literary cultures of the South West to wider, global landscapes. Thoughtful and exploratory, Zawn celebrates diverse forms of storytelling and the people behind the scenes who bring it to life. Bringing together contributors, publishers, and readers, the event will feature readings from writers published in this first issue, offering a unique opportunity to celebrate the literal ‘First Words’ of Zawn.

Featuring both new and established voices with ties to the South West, including Imogen Hermes Gowar, Kim Squirrel, Nnamdi Oguike, P.T. McAllister, Sam Francis, Joey Atkins, Francesca Dowdeswell and Lily Catherine, the event will offer the chance to experience the work of Zawn live, and hear more about the ideas and processes that shaped this edition of Zawn.
