In 2020, like so many other families in NYC, my world became much smaller. During those quiet months of lockdown, looking for a way to connect and stay creative, my son and I picked up a simple model kit and a few bottles of paint.

What started as a way to pass the time quickly turned into a "masterpiece" moment. We discovered that in the process of clipping, sanding, and painting, the outside world fell away. We weren't just building a robot; we were building patience, focus, and a shared bond.

Six years later, that hobby has evolved from a personal passion into a professional studio. We’ve spent years perfecting custom kits and complex dioramas for collectors, but our true calling became clear: passing this "long-lost" craft to the next generation.

Today, Brooklyn Buildz exists to give everyone a break from the digital world. We teach the artistry of scale modeling to help them find the same confidence and joy that we found at our coffee table years ago. When we're not reserving benches for our next generation of builders; Brooklyn Buildz serves as a maker space with open workshops to allow our community to utlize our tools to catch up on their backlogs, or come and create with their little ones.
