Maharishi International University was founded in 1971 by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi to fulfill the highest ideals of education. MIU has pioneered a unique system of higher education, Consciousness-Based EducationTM, that systematically cultures students’ full creative intelligence which is the basis of learning. The pedagogy includes weaving the Transcendental Meditation® (TM) technique into the daily instructional plan. The university has also conducted research and published hundreds of research papers on the benefits of TM and TM-Sidhi techniques and other Vedic technologies for individuals and society.
