What happens when love and survival collide?
An Iranian shopkeeper and his partner plan to flee their homeland to live openly as a same-sex couple. Their hopes for freedom are thrown into jeopardy when a devout neighbor discovers their secret and threatens to destroy their lives.
The award-winning drama Omeed’s Tapestries will be presented at The American Theatre for Actors in the Sargent Theatre as part of the Midtown International Theatre Festival, running June 29–July 10. A talkback will follow the performance on July 9.
