Join Afrimerican Academy Summer Tours for the “Roadmap to a Beloved Community” Walking Tour/Workshop — an immersive exploration of the intertwined histories of Boston’s Jewish and African American communities in Dorchester.
This youth-led cultural experience examines how transportation, migration, religion, business corridors, and urban development shaped community life across Dorchester and surrounding neighborhoods.
Participants will explore historic sites, community institutions, and stories of resilience, cooperation, displacement, and cultural preservation through a public history and infrastructure lens.
Topics include:

• Blue Hill Avenue corridor history
• Transportation & trolley infrastructure
• Urban renewal & neighborhood change
• Community institutions & activism
