Trees and Trails Ride 10AM (Forest Park, Queens)
Enjoy an easy, family-friendly ride through Forest Park with guided stops to learn about notable trees.
Join us for a relaxed, family-friendly ride along the scenic paths of Forest Park, Queens. This flat, easygoing route is great for riders ages 10+ who are comfortable on a bike and looking to enjoy a peaceful spin surrounded by trees.
As we ride, we will stop to learn about notable trees, how to recognize them, what makes them unique, and their role in the urban environment. The ride is guided by Christina McLaughlin (she/her/hers), Urban Forestry Programs Manager at Trees New York and an ISA Certified Arborist.
We will move at a comfortable pace with time for observation, conversation, and learning. Enjoy a supportive group and a fun, engaging way to experience the outdoors.
What to expect:
- Flat, mostly car-free bike trails
- Easy pace for riders with basic bike handling skills
- Guided tree learning throughout the ride
- Friendly ride leaders and a welcoming group atmosphere
- Distance: 5-8 miles
Bikes and helmets provided for riders ages 10+. Riders under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. You may also bring your own bike if you prefer.
